The Xiaomeng Industrial Park in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) -- located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- took the honors in a prestigious rating of its peers in the province, according to GETDZ officials.
They said it ranked first in the 2019 annual comprehensive evaluation of key industrial parks in Guizhou, making the seventh year in a row for it to gain top spot.
GETDZ officials said Xiaomeng Industrial Park is one of the key industrial parks in Guiyang city and also a national new industrialization base in Guizhou province.
Last year, in line with the city's development vision and its target of becoming a 100 billion yuan-level development zone and a new modern industrial city in the south of Guiyang, the GETDZ focused on its industrial system.
This includes advanced equipment manufacturing, big data electronic information, health medicine, new energy and the smart power grid – as well as a modern service industry, attracting investment, strengthening scientific and technological innovation and continuing to boost Xiaomeng Industrial Park's industrial system.
Zone officials added that in 2019, the value of output of advanced equipment manufacturing, big data electronic information and health medicine in Xiaomeng Industrial Park accounted for 54.5 percent of the total industrial output value of the zone.
At the same time, the zone has vigorously promoted the construction of major projects in the Xiaomeng Industrial Park. This has injected new momentum into the cluster development of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry and the growth of the real economy in the industrial park.
To date, more than 75 manufacturers have settled in the industrial park, of which one has an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan, eight have a yearly output value of more than 1 billion yuan and 20 enterprises report annual output worth more than 100 million yuan.
In addition, last year eight businesses in the park were listed as provincial leading enterprises in the "thousands enterprises upgrading" project and won the title of "high-growth enterprises", respectively.
