Since the start of the year, the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) -- located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has focused on building a new industrial ecosystem, according to GETDZ officials.
They said it has continuously focused on the goal of building itself up as a development zone with an eventual annual output value of 100 billion-level yuan ($14.29 billion) -- as well as becoming a modern industrial zone in the south of Guiyang.
It has focused on accelerating the construction of "1733" key industrial projects and 10 roads and key urban construction projects in 13 areas.
Zone officials said that, the "1733" industrial projects involve 17 industrial projects, three industrial support projects and three service industry projects.
They include nine advanced equipment manufacturing projects, two big data electronic information projects, two medical and health projects and four new energy and smart power grid projects.
The 10 roads and 13 areas initiative comes in two phases.
The roads project will mainly involve construction and improvement of the road network in the zone, while the areas project includes reconstruction of shantytowns in the zone and the construction of replacement residential housing.
Officials said the zone has taken the path to high-quality development in building a great industrial ecosystem.
It is doing so by providing full-blown services to ensure the introduction, implementation and operation of large projects -- and it is striving to form a complete closed-loop of industrial chains and intensive agglomeration.
Officials said that from January to April this year, the fixed assets investments in the zone increased by 63.8 percent year-on-year, ranking it number one in Guiyang.
