Since the start of the year, the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) -- in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has been taking active measures to relieve the pressures on resident small and micro enterprises, GETDZ officials said.
They said it has made full use of financial discounts to ease their financial burden in the wake of the impact of the novel coronavirus -- including offering them subsidies on interest repayments on loans, according to local media reports on June 28.
To date, eight resident small and micro enterprises in the zone have obtained nearly 10.45 million yuan ($1.48 million) of entrepreneurial guarantee loans, which have been subsidized by the zone's government.
According to officials, the interest subsidies policy is mainly to help those firms effected solve their bottleneck problems in terms of development financing.
The actions are aimed at promoting the healthy and sustainable growth of small and micro enterprises, stabilizing their operations and ensuring employment.
