Kechi special vehicle manufacturing company -- based in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ), in Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province -- recently had a watershed moment, according to GETDZ officials.
That was when it passed the special vehicle production qualifications review carried out by a group from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Equipment Industry Development Center on June 12, marking a big step by the zone into the development of its special vehicle industry.
Officials said the zone began the reorganization, relocation and renaming of special vehicle companies on March 19 and reformed Kechi company.
According to zone officials, the review team reviewed the production line, technology, R&D, product and other projects at Kechi.
It fired a series of questions at personnel about the requirements on the State's administrative measures for the access of road motor vehicle manufacturers and products, before giving the green light to the company.
Officials said that moving forwards, the zone's industrial investment group will give full play to the resource advantages of special vehicle production qualifications.
It will cooperate with Changyue Group to produce 3-12 ton garbage trucks, compressed garbage trucks, refrigerated trucks and other special vehicles, with an annual output of up to 1,800 units.
This will help power up the enterprises in the zone's special vehicle industry chain.
Officials said it will accelerate the cultivation and expansion of industrial clusters, help build an ecosystem for the development of special vehicle industry in the zone and become as a new driving force for the zone's economic development.
