An intelligent transportation capacity dispatching platform for highway freight -- developed by Manbang Group -- was selected on a list of excellent big data products and applications for novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control and work resumption measures, released recently by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Manbang Group -- a leading domestic freight service platform, headquartered in Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- was one of 94 enterprises selected for the list, which includes four enterprises from Guizhou.
According to local media reports, since the novel coronavirus outbreak, the group has rapidly set up an emergency team to improve vehicle scheduling in the COVID-19 hardest-hit areas in China to provide logistics services -- and offered full support for the epidemic prevention and control of the logistics industry.
Under the guidance of the emergency team, the group has given full play to its resources in intelligent transportation.
It has utilized the dispatching platform for highway freight and opened a fast track channel on the platform.
It has called on truck drivers to actively meet the needs of material transportation and provided support for the transportation of epidemic relief materials -- especially in the areas with severe epidemic.
During the outbreak, the group has provided transportation support for the delivery of anti-epidemic materials such as disinfectants, medical gloves, in Wuhan – the city in Central China's Hubei province that was hit hard by coronavirus.
In Wuhan and in other areas it has given full play to the dispatching ability of the platform.
