The Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently signed a slew of key contracts on urban construction and health care, according to GETDZ officials.
It signed strategic cooperation agreements with Guiyang Medical and Health Industry Investment Co Ltd and Guizhou Construction Engineering Group (GCEG) respectively and hammered out cooperation on urban construction and medical and the construction of a health care facility the officials said on April 25.
Under the agreement, Guiyang Medical and Health Industry Investment Co Ltd will work with the GETDZ in technology, equipment, medical care and other aspects after the construction is completed of a new hospital which has the preliminary name of the People's Hospital of GETDZ.
The hospital – to be constructed to the standards of a grade-A tertiary hospital – will have a general purpose building, an infectious diseases building, a disease control center, maternity and child health administration building and auxiliary support facilities, with a total of 1,000 beds planned.
After completion the hospital will specialize in abdominal surgery, cardiovascular surgery, urology, otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery and other key specialties. This will enable it to provide high-quality, efficient and convenient medical services for the people in the zone, Guiyang and even the province and southwestern China.
Meanwhile GCEG will cooperate with the zone on infrastructure including shantytown renovation, the construction of municipal road network, urban pipe corridors – helping to accelerate the urbanization of the zone and accelerate its economic development.
