Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) -- in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- plans to focus on 60 key industrial projects and construction projects in 2020, involving total investment topping 90 billion yuan ($12.78 billion), GETDZ officials told local media on April 9.
Zone officials said that, this year the GETDZ will focus on the goal of building itself up as a development zone with a 100 billion-level annual output value and as a modern industrial new zone in the south of Guiyang.
It will focus on the development of industry and construction and fully promote two major initiatives in particular: the "1733" key industrial projects and the "ten roads and thirteen areas" key construction projects.
The "1733" involve 17 industrial projects, three industrial supporting projects and three service industry projects. They include nine advanced equipment manufacturing projects, two big data electronic information projects, two medical and health projects and four new energy and smart grid projects.
The "ten roads and thirteen areas" initiative comes in two sections. The "ten roads" project will mainly construct and improve the road network in the zone; the "thirteen areas" project includes reconstructions of shantytowns in the zone and the constructions of housing replacements.
In addition to the key industries and construction projects, the zone will also implement 21 other key projects, including two industrial projects, six urban construction projects and 13 infrastructure projects.
