Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang -- capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- is aiming high, to expand a modern and high-quality industrial system there, according to GETDZ officials on April 1.
They said it plans to make every effort to improve and expand high-quality economic development, optimizing its industrial parks and digital economy in 2020.
First, the district decided to revolve the initiative around a strategy in which it attracts leading industries and leading products to the zone.
It will also focus on existing upstream and downstream projects and related companies -- with leading companies driving the extension of the industry supply chain.
The GETDZ will promote the formation of bigger and stronger industrial clusters and promote the simultaneous expansion of industrial quantity and energy levels -- to build a high-end, high-quality, high-tech modern industrial system.
Second, the district decided to improve its preexisting working mechanism around precise investment promotions.
In addition, it is also improving planning and packaging, financing guarantees, and continuing to promote "1733" key industrial projects and key urban construction projects.
The district plans to improve the operational quality of the real economy, actively guide the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and effectively activate idle factories and land.
In addition, the GETDZ also decided to seize new market opportunities generated by the COVID-19 epidemic, vigorously develop the digital economy, promote industry digitalization, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry represented by the construction of the industrial internet -- and improve the level of intelligent traditional infrastructure.
Finally, the GETDZ is emphasizing the important mission of Xiaomeng Industrial Park in the industrial economic development of Guizhou.
The zone decided to further promote the reform and development path of the park, seize opportunities with a stronger sense of competition, promote transformation and improve the management system of the park -- and strive to make the park a magnet for attracting industrial projects as well as a platform and an important growth pole for economic development of the whole province.
