A project developed by a company resident in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, made the list of big data industry development pilot demonstration projects in 2020 published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, according to GETDZ officials.
The big data project -- an intelligent transportation capacity scheduling platform based on large-scale real-time logistics data -- was developed by DOIT Group.
According to local media reports, the platform uses big data to intelligently and accurately match vehicles and cargoes. It has intelligent dispatching platform and mobile app products for highway trunk logistics based on cloud computing, big data and the mobile internet to provide real-time information matching for shippers and drivers.
With the help of the platform, both cargo owners and drivers can quickly complete vehicle searches and cargo searches on the same platform, reduce freight vacancy rates and improve logistic operations through capacity sharing and intelligent matching efficiencies.
At the same time, through the national highway trunk logistics intelligent scheduling system, combined with an embedded and location tracking intelligent scheduling platform, the big data project has functions for intelligent vehicle-cargo matching, intelligent real-time scheduling, intelligent standard quotations and intelligent map tracking.
In addition, it can track and visualize the whole process of logistics information, and significantly improve the speed, accuracy and transportation organization efficiency of the highway trunk logistics source, vehicle, route and price matching.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced a total of 200 pilot demonstration projects on the list.
They cover four major areas: industrial big data integration and applications, innovation and applications of people's livelihoods through big data, leading applications of key technologies of big data and improvements to big data management capacity.
In addition, there is a focus on seven main directions for industrial fields, enterprise applications, key industries, innovation and the application of big data in people's livelihoods, leading applications of key technologies for big data, data management capabilities and public service platforms.
