The Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has taken bold moves to solve the labor shortage problem of resident companies caused by the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, according to GETDZ officials on Feb 26.
First, through online and offline channels, the GETDZ's human resources bureau has learned about the current labor situation from various companies in the zone and their labor recruitment requirements -- and collected information about all the needed job positions.
After that, local authorities guided companies to formulate recruitment plans based on current situation of epidemic prevention and control and the supply and demand of the human resources market, and reasonably determine their recruitment conditions.
Finally, the online recruitment platform was opened in time to release recruitment information for enterprises free of charge.
In addition, officials actively contacted the human resources departments at the zone's partner-assistance poverty alleviation county to promote the employment of returning laborers nearby, while ensuring the employment needs of enterprises.
