Local departments of Guiyang Economic and Technological Zone (GETDZ) -- a development zone in the capital city of southwestern Guizhou province -- jointly enforced strict checks of vehicles and personnel entering the GETDZ, officials said.
They also jointly standardized coronavirus prevention and control measures at local large supermarkets and shopping malls on Jan 29 - 30.
During the two-day inspection, more than 400 vehicles were inspected in the zone.
Officials said nearly 700 passengers were inspected, 204 vehicles were guided to return and two mass transportation vehicles were asked to stop proceeding.
In the inspection, in addition to checking the disinfection of vehicles and the body temperatures of personnel, law enforcement officers also checked the wearing of face masks of drivers and passengers one by one.
The action was not only to check the vehicles, but also to inspect the supermarkets and shopping malls in the zone.
Large shopping malls and supermarkets are required by local authorities to disinfect all the baskets, shopping carts, railings and elevators every four hours.
In addition, local authorities forbid residents at all these public not to wear masks.
At the same time, local departments required large shopping malls and supermarkets to set up temperature measuring points and temporary isolation rooms.
Officials said all people entering the shopping malls should take temperature measurements. Once anyone with abnormal temperature is found, isolation measures should be taken immediately and relevant departments should be informed.
According to local media reports, the zone will next continue to strengthen the inspection of vehicles and the investigation of small and medium-sized supermarkets and shopping malls in the zone.
It will also strictly regulate and control the inflow of infectious sources into the area, form a regular investigation system for imported infectious sources during the virus prevention and control period -- and further strengthen local virus prevention and controls.
