A total of five tons of disinfectants carried by Full Truck Alliance Group -- China's biggest application for Uber and Didi-like truck services located at Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital of southwestern Guizhou province -- made it to the hardest-hit area of the coronavirus outbreak in China, according to GETDZ officials.
They said the invaluable materials successfully arrived at Xiaogan in central Hubei province, on Jan 27.
In the face of the increasing severity of the epidemic caused by the coronavirus, using big data technology and its resources, Full Truck Alliance Group launched emergency transportation on Jan 25.
Officials said it opened a fast track services channel.
This actively met the demand for transportation of epidemic materials and alleviated shortages in the severe epidemic area.
According to local media reports, the group bought insurance for all truck drivers involved in the transportation of epidemic relief materials, and all transport costs were borne by the company.
