Five projects from Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) -- a development zone in Guiyang, capital of southwest Guizhou province -- were selected as intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration projects for the province, according to a list released by the department of industry and information technology of the province on Dec 5.
The five selected pilot demonstration projects for intelligent manufacturing in the GETDZ account for half of the provincial pilot demonstration projects.
In recent years, GETDZ has carried out in-depth pilot demonstration work of intelligent manufacturing involving multiple intelligent manufacturing elements.
Starting from the aspects of reducing operation costs, shortening product development cycles, -- as well as improving production efficiency, reducing defective product rates and improving energy utilization rates -- the zone has always insisted on supporting product development and service innovation of its enterprises.
It has also promoted the intelligent transformation of enterprises and practically improved the overall intelligent level of enterprise research and development, production, management and service.
Four of the projects come from the zone's Hisense, Aerospace Electrical Appliances and Sinopharm Group Tongjitang (Guizhou) Pharmaceuticals Co Ltd.
In addition, a pilot demonstration for a flexible intelligent manufacturing workshop for electrical connectors was from the zone's Aerospace Electrical Appliances.
It was selected as a pilot project for intelligent Sino-German manufacturing cooperation.
Officials said the number of national intelligent manufacturing pilot projects in the zone accounts for 38.5 percent of the province and 45.5 percent of Guiyang city.
