An activity for improving worker vocational skills was held at the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- on Nov 25, aiming to stabilize employment and help the development of local companies.
Sponsored by the Guiyang department of human resources and public security, the activity attracted the participation of 35 authentication institutions, over 40 vocational skills training institutions and over 40 enterprises from the GETDZ.
At the activity, local officials examined policies for improving vocational skills and about new apprenticeship training undertaken by companies.
During an on-site Q&A, queries from company representatives about pre-job training, safety skills training materials and questions on other policies were answered by local authorities.
