According to an action plan released recently, Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, plans to develop a zone of mid and high-end consumer goods trade and manufacturing with international influence and regional driving force.
The action plan proposes that GETDZ should take supply side structural reform as the main line and high-quality development as the core, accelerate the construction of a new mechanism of opening-up and development, build a higher-level open economy, participate in international cooperation and competition in a wider range at a higher level, form a new pattern of opening-up with distinctive characteristics, and create a new highland of high-level opening up.
According to the action plan, GETDZ should adhere to a new development concept of opening-up, reform and innovation.
GETDZ will promote the innovation of ideas, platforms, services and systems, strengthen the open economy, build an open platform, gather open resources, consolidate the foundation and optimize the environment for opening-up, build a sound development system for opening-up, and support economic development to build the zone into a city of mid and high-end consumer goods trade and manufacturing with international influence and regional driving force.
In addition, the plan specifies that the zone will take 2020, 2025 and 2030 as the nodes to complete the target tasks in three stages. By 2030, GETDZ will be built into an advanced manufacturing industry cluster with middle and high-end consumer goods as the main sector. The zone will be an opening-up highland, an internationally influential and regional driven zone of mid and high-end consumer goods trade and manufacturing.
