Guizhou Science City in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) has unveiled a two-year action plan for 2026–2027 aimed at accelerating innovation-driven development and building a nationally influential science and technology hub in western China.

Officially released on June 8, the plan focuses on four key areas: scientific and technological innovation, industrial development, talent services, and supporting infrastructure. It seeks to develop a science city distinguished by high-tech industries, local characteristics, and strong national impact.

Under the plan, 2026 will see efforts to advance breakthroughs in core technologies, incubate high-quality enterprises, attract major projects, and cultivate high-level talent. Construction of Guizhou Science City's northern expansion zone will begin, while mechanisms for transforming scientific research into commercial applications will be further strengthened.

By 2027, Guizhou Science City aims to attract leading research institutions, establish pilot-scale testing and technology service platforms, and launch landmark industrial projects. The plan also envisions deeper integration of science, industry, urban development, and ecological landscapes to enhance industrial competitiveness and innovation vitality.
