Representatives from government departments, communities, property management companies, and media outlets took part in a "Green Experience" tour organized by Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) on May 27, gaining first-hand insight into the treatment and recycling of food waste.
The event was held at Guiyang Beier Lande Technology Co. Participants visited Guiyang's food waste treatment plant and observed the entire process of waste management, from sorting and collection to treatment and resource recovery, witnessing how discarded food waste is transformed into valuable resources.
Visitors toured production lines dedicated to the harmless treatment and recycling of food waste, and learned about the technologies and environmental benefits behind the process.

An interactive Q&A session was also held, during which company experts answered questions on waste collection systems and treatment capacity.
Many attendees said the visit deepened their understanding of waste management. Community and property management representatives noted that seeing the recycling process in action would help them better promote waste sorting and environmental awareness among residents.
The event forms part of Guiyang HIDZ's efforts to strengthen public education on waste sorting and advance the circular economy. Through immersive learning experiences, the initiative aims to raise environmental awareness and encourage broader public participation in green and low-carbon development.
