Guizhou Silk Road Eco-energy Technology Co, an environmental technology firm based in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ), has signed a product distribution and cooperation agreement with Kwan On Environmental Engineering Co to jointly explore Southeast Asian markets.
The agreement was reached at the 2026 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition, with both sides focusing on promoting the application of modified diamond electrode technology in the region.
The partnership will cover technology licensing and equipment supply, joint market development, and operations and maintenance services.
Under the arrangement, the Guiyang company will provide core electrode components and integrated reactor systems, while its Macao partner will handle project implementation and after-sales support across Macao and Southeast Asia.

Initial plans include launching industrial wastewater treatment projects in Vietnam and Malaysia, with equipment delivery expected in the third quarter of this year and operations scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter.
Demonstration projects using green disinfection technology will also be introduced in Macao, particularly in hotel swimming pools and landscape water systems, before a broader regional rollout.
Guizhou Silk Road Eco-energy Technology has developed a full industrial chain around its proprietary modified diamond electrode technology, which offers over 30 percent higher oxidation efficiency than conventional methods and enables chemical-free, residue-free disinfection. The technology has been widely applied in wastewater treatment, water sterilization, and ecological restoration.
With established market networks and project experience in Southeast Asia, the Macao partner is expected to accelerate the commercialization of the technology overseas.
