Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Southwest China's Guizhou province has been recognized as one of China's 2025 National Model Cases for Advancing New-type Industrialization, thanks to its outstanding achievements in industrial clustering and innovation-driven growth.
The selection is a national recognition of the zone's success in exploring new paths of industrialization and driving high-quality regional economic development.
The initiative was jointly organized by the Cyber Security Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and the Industrial Park Working Committee of the China Electronics Standardization Association.
It focused on exemplary practices in areas such as industrial clustering, technological innovation, digital integration, green development, and open cooperation across provincial and national-level industrial parks.
Guiyang HIDZ has been promoting deep integration between digital technologies and the real economy, advancing both industrial digitalization and the digital industry. By encouraging enterprises to adopt intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation, the zone is helping traditional industries lower costs, enhance efficiency, and improve quality.
The zone has also made remarkable progress in strengthening its digital industry. It has attracted leading enterprises and now hosts over 100 software and IT service companies recognized by MIIT. More than 300 local enterprises have carried out in-depth integration projects combining big data with traditional manufacturing, injecting strong momentum into the region's digital economy.
