Huang Yong, a deputy of the National People's Congress and chairman of Guizhou TuZhi Information Technology Co, made suggestions on supporting the development of the high-precision real-time spatial information services industry during this year's national two sessions.
He emphasized the need to regard real-time spatial information services as a focal point for future industrial cultivation.
This initiative should be spearheaded by the authorities related to national development and reform. The goal is for them to formulate dedicated policies to nurture, incubate, and support the development of upstream and downstream entities in the real-time spatial information services industry.
This would, in turn, facilitate the creation of spatial information application scenarios in the natural resources, transportation, agriculture, rural areas, ecological environment, emergency management, public safety, urban and rural development sectors.
Simultaneously, a series of verifications and industrial development pilot programs should be initiated in Southwest China's Guizhou province to explore experiences for the entire nation.
"Guizhou boasts a rich array of spatial information application scenarios, with strong market demand in disaster prevention and emergency response, as well as in water conservancy and transportation. In recent years, it has laid a solid industrial foundation in the development of big data and the implementation of the digital economy strategy," Huang explained.
