The project "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Intelligent Management of Ultra-long Highway Tunnels", submitted by Guizhou Zhongnan Transport Co, was awarded first prize at the China Communication and Transportation Association's Scientific and Technological Progress Award.
Guizhou Zhongnan Transport Co is a resident enterprise in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
This project integrates new-generation technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, 5G, and cloud computing to create a digitally secure operational management system for the intelligent control of ultra-long tunnels.
Effectively enhancing transportation safety and emergency support capabilities, the project elevates the operational management of ultra-long tunnels in terms of safety, rescue, maintenance, energy efficiency, and digitization.
It promotes the comprehensive empowerment of the transportation industry, driving the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the local transportation infrastructure.
According to Xiao Deguang, a staff member of Guizhou Zhongnan Transport Co, "The project has already been implemented in the Dalou Mountain's tunnels, which is the first decameter-level highway tunnel in Guizhou, and also the longest highway tunnel in the province.”
