Guizhou Huatai Zhiyuan Big Data Service Co (Huatai Zhiyuan), a resident enterprise of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ), aims to become a pioneer in the metaverse industry.
According to Cheng Ling, the vice general manager of Huatai Zhiyuan, the metaverse represents the latest interconnection of the virtual and real world, integrating various new technologies such as 5G, 6G, artificial intelligence, and big data.
It can generate a digital twin of the real world, allowing users to produce content and reshape reality.
The metaverse emphasizes the interaction between the virtual and real world, and its application is not limited to gaming and real estate but can be adopted in various industries, Cheng added.
Huatai Zhiyuan has been focusing on digital twin technology for four years. The company has completed the construction of digital twin projects at Guizhou Smart Aviation Port and the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Development Zone.
In 2021, it signed a strategic framework agreement with Guizhou Cloud; and in 2022, it participated in the construction of the investment promotion assistance system for Guian Science and Technology Innovation City.
According to Cheng, a digital twin is an essential foundation for metaverse development. By combining the digital twin model of Guian Science and Technology Innovation City with the metaverse, the company can provide advanced planning for transportation, construction, and pipelines to achieve the smart management of cities.
The metaverse is not limited to smart cities but can also be applied to bridge design, river management, and streetlight control, among other areas. Huatai Zhiyuan actively collaborates with technology companies in Yunnan, Beijing, Hainan, and other regions to explore metaverse-related businesses.
Currently, it has implemented more than 40 digital twin benchmark projects in 16 provinces across China.
It is working with the Guiyang HIDZ to create a metaverse project that combines government, enterprise, and public participation. It aims to gather technological strength and explore the development of the metaverse industry, contributing to the high-quality development of the zone.
