A commissioning ceremony for the Phase II project of Safran Aircraft Engine (Guiyang) Co was successfully held in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Sept 1.
The project is located in Shawen Park of the Guiyang HIDZ. With an investment of $30 million, a new low-carbon factory has been built, equipped with advanced new equipment.
The project specializes in the production of low-pressure turbine blades, guide vanes, and seals for CFM56 and LEAP engines, involving more than 20 different types of aircraft engine components.
The annual production capacity of aircraft engine castings in the Phase II project is 500,000 units, or double the production capacity of Phase I.
The landing of this project represents a new milestone in promoting the transformation and upgrading of the industry in Guiyang HIDZ.
