The first batch of 15 graduate students officially settled in the Shanghai Jiao Tong University - Guizhou Joint Graduate Training Base in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Southwest China's Guizhou province on Sept 3.
They will carry out a one-and-a-half-year practical learning program in the training base.
Shanghai Jiao Tong University has just welcomed a fresh batch of graduate students who are eager to start their academic journey.
On the same day, Guiyang HIDZ held a welcome ceremony for the students.
Cai Hongming, the Party secretary of the School of Software at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, expressed gratitude on behalf of the university to the governments at all levels in Guizhou for their efforts in constructing the training base.
He introduced that the base adopts a new model of cultivating talents, integrating the government, the university, and the enterprises.
The initiative seeks to facilitate a synergistic relationship between academic institutions and businesses, fostering innovation through coordinated efforts in production, research, and education.
Guiyang HIDZ has already hired nine enterprise mentors as responsible persons in charge of the practical courses for these students.
