Three incubators from Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, made the 2023 list of Guiyang municipal-level technology enterprise incubators or makerspaces, accounting for 20 percent of all those newly-identified.
That's according to a list recently released by the Guiyang bureau of science and technology.
Among the three selected from Guiyang HIDZ, the Shuchuang Power Technology Enterprise Incubator has been recognized as a city-level technology enterprise incubator, while the Guizhou Qianyunjin Makerspace and Guyue Mountain Makerspace have both been recognized as city-level makerspaces.
They have received 700,000 yuan ($99,857.35) in financial support in total.
Guiyang HIDZ now has 31 incubation carriers, including five at the national level, three at the provincial level, and six city-level incubators.
The HIDZ also has four national-level, three provincial-level, and three city-level makerspaces. The total number of innovation and entrepreneurship carriers located there ranks Guiyang HIDZ first in the province in this category.
Moving forward, Guiyang HIDZ will continue to foster and incubate more technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as high-tech enterprises, and accelerate the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
