Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has achieved strong results in advancing new-type industrialization.
In recent years, Guiyang HIDZ has attached great importance to the development of two dominant industries - electronic information manufacturing and advanced equipment manufacturing - and one characteristic industry - new energy vehicles.
In 2022, the added value of the industries above designated size in Guiyang HIDZ increased 30.5 percent, and the average growth rate of the zone's added value over a five-year period is more than 20 percent.
To achieve such goals, Guiyang HIDZ is employing a model that integrates big data and industrial enterprises, aiding in the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.
Guiyang HIDZ has cultivated 24 intelligent manufacturing pilot projects, with two being approved as national-level intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration projects and national-level new-type industrialization demonstration bases with a focus on big data.
Meanwhile, Guiyang HIDZ continues to push forward enterprises' scientific research and development, the commercialization of R&D results, and the construction of public service innovation platforms.

Guiyang HIDZ currently has 278 R&D institutes, and 12 "specialized, refined, featured and innovative" little giant enterprises at the national level, accounting for 45.5 percent of the total in Guiyang.
Additionally, Guiyang HIDZ is making strong efforts to serve resident enterprises and has formed a team to provide precise services for key enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises, aiming to help them overcome obstacles to development.
They include increasing production and expanding capacity, policy implementation, R&D innovation, financing and loans.
Last year, the team helped them solve more than 100 problems related to procedures, financing, and factor guarantees.
