Guizhou Zhengsheng Technology Co, a resident enterprise of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is embarking on a green and innovation-driven road.
Combining national carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, the company is now implementing a low-concentration gas full utilization project.
Lu Yong, deputy general manager of the company, explained that gas can be divided into medium-high concentration and low concentration.
Medium-high concentration power generation is very clean after combustion, and hardly produces any exhaust gas.
However, if the gas with a concentration of less than 8 percent is directly discharged into the air, it will cause air pollution. The harm caused by this gas in the atmosphere is about 24 times that of carbon dioxide, Lu added.
In order to realize the full utilization of gas, Lu's company has developed a low-concentration coal mine gas boiler and a low-concentration gas mixing box to recycle various concentrations of gas that were produced in coal mining processes.
Lu stated that the low-concentration gas utilization project can increase the utilization rate of coal mine gas by about 40 percent; and the utilization rate of waste heat by about 70 percent.
Guizhou Zhengsheng Technology Co is an enterprise engaged in coalbed methane and waste heat power generation. It settled in Guiyang HIDZ in 2014.
After nearly ten years of development, three gas power stations have been built by the company and put into operation.
With more than 10 patents for independent intellectual property rights, the company's annual output value reached 20 million yuan ($2.99 million), and it was certified as a national high-tech enterprise in 2021.
