In 2022, the added value of industries above designated size in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, increased by 30.5 percent.
It was the fifth consecutive year that the growth rate of the zone's added value of industries above designated size remained above 20 percent.

The industrial economy maintained rapid growth
In 2022, Guiyang HIDZ completed a total industrial output value of 38 billion yuan ($5.67 billion), and a total industrial output value above designated size of 28.79 billion yuan.
Effective investment continued to increase
In 2022, Guiyang HIDZ completed 10.72 billion yuan in fixed asset investment and 4.89 billion yuan in private investment, accounting for 45.6 percent of the zone's fixed asset investment.
Significant results were achieved in attracting business
In 2022, Guiyang HIDZ had 17.78 billion yuan in funds for newly-introduced industrial projects, a year-on-year increase of 5.79 percent. It also introduced 50 enterprises with strong business performance.
The digital economy saw a boost in development
In 2022, Guiyang HIDZ saw 11.68 billion yuan in software and information technology service business revenue, a year-on-year increase of 22.7 percent. Meanwhile, it became home to nine new big data companies above designated size.
Foreign trade achieved rapid development
In 2022, the imports and exports of Guiyang HIDZ increased by 37.12 percent year-on-year, exceeding the annual target set by Guiyang for the zone by 2.12 percentage points.
Construction of standard factory buildings was accelerated
In 2022, the new construction area of Guiyang HIDZ came in at 1.01 million square meters, and 11 new standard factory projects were completed, with a built-up area of 659,200 square meters. Another 19 projects, each with an investment of more than 100 million yuan, were introduced.
