The output value of the new energy automobile industry in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ), Southwest China's Guizhou province, exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.43 billion) in 2022, making it the first 10-billion-level industry in the zone.
Leading industries in the Guiyang HIDZ are the electronic information manufacturing industry and the advanced equipment manufacturing industry. The zone has also made the new energy automobile industry one of its characteristic industries through heavy promotion and investment.
Guiyang Fudi Battery Co, a resident enterprise of the Guiyang HIDZ, is a leader in the new energy vehicle industry.
The company has seized opportunities in the market and has expanded its production capacity. The second phase of one of its projects, with an investment of 3 billion yuan, has recently entered into the environmental impact assessment stage in the Guiyang HIDZ.
When in full production, the project will have a battery production capacity of 15Gwh, enabling the enterprise to have a total annual production capacity of 30Gwh.
