This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Over a 30-year period, the Guiyang HIDZ pursued quality reform, innovation, and cooperation. It has not only met all of these goals, but also made remarkable achievements in development.
At present, the Guiyang HIDZ has achieved a 100 percent pass rate for its important industrial products for eight consecutive years.
One resident company within the Guiyang HIDZ won the Guizhou Provincial Governor Quality Award, another company won the Guizhou Provincial Governor Quality Nomination Award, and one company won the Guiyang Mayor Quality Nomination Award.
Moreover, two companies were granted the Guiyang National High-tech Quality Award, and projects from three resident companies were approved as quality development projects in Guizhou province.

Adhering to the concept of new industrialization, the Guiyang HIDZ has made every effort to implement the special actions of "intelligent manufacturing" and the "integration of informatization and industrialization", as well as accelerate the cultivation of "specialized, refined, featured and innovative" little giant enterprises at all levels.
Up to now, 12 enterprises from the Guiyang HIDZ have become little giant enterprises at the national level, accounting for about 40 percent of Guiyang city's total. Another 42 enterprises were recognized as "specialized, refined, featured and innovative" enterprises at the provincial level.
In terms of technology innovation, the Guiyang HIDZ now has a total of 370 incubation companies, 341 national high-tech enterprises, 37 national R&D platforms, two national key laboratories, two national engineering technology research centers, and seven national enterprise technology centers.
It has successively been approved as a "National Big Data Industry Technology Innovation Pilot Zone", a "National Intellectual Property Demonstration Industrial Park", and a "National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Base". The Guiyang HIDZ has become one of the province's most active scientific and technological innovation areas.
