The science and technology innovation bureau of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently made the list of national science and technology management system advanced collectives to be commended by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The Guiyang HIDZ bureau is one of only three of its kind in Guizhou province to receive the honor.
Since the beginning of this year, it has continuously strengthened technological innovation and promoted the construction of innovation platforms.
To date, Guiyang HIDZ is home to 278 research and development institutions or platforms, 10 approved post-doctoral scientific research workstations, and 12 provincial-level talent bases. It has become one of the most technologically innovative zones in the province.
In the national comprehensive ranking of national high-tech zones, Guiyang HIDZ's ranking jumped from 62nd in 2012 to 39th in 2021.
Moving forward, the Guiyang HIDZ bureau will further improve its regional innovation system, explore how to improve scientific and technological achievement commercialization, and strive to build Guiyang HIDZ into a core area for the transfer and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
