The Guizhou Intellectual Property Rights Protection Assistance Center officially set up a work station in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China’s Guizhou province, on Nov 11.
The workstation will provide comprehensive public services for enterprises related to the creation, utilization, management and protection of IP rights.
They include providing enterprises with consulting and guidance services on IP laws and regulations, authorization and confirmation procedures, legal status, dispute resolution methods, and evidence collection methods.
When necessary, the workstation can ask higher-level rights protection assistance agencies for guidance and services, which can effectively broaden the rights protection channels of enterprises.
Meanwhile, the workstation is also able to provide solutions or suggestions for major public IP disputes and provide analysis and early warning for activities related to public research and development, economic and trade, investment, and technology transfer, among other things.
According to Zhang Tingquan, an official at the Guiyang HIDZ branch of the Guiyang market regulation administration, the Guiyang HIDZ work station will provide targeted services.
It will focus on strengthening basic knowledge of IP, policy guidance and professional counseling for small and micro-sized enterprises with relatively weak comprehensive IP capabilities.
For enterprises with certain comprehensive IP capabilities, they will mainly provide cultivation services.
For key enterprises with a good IP foundation, they will provide services such as IP protection early warning.
