The sci-tech innovation department of the China Association for Science and Technology recently announced the first batch of 194 innovation bases of the Innovation China project.
The governance big data innovation base of the Big Data National Engineering Research Center in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, became one of three Guizhou bases to make the list.
The innovation bases of Innovation China are platforms for the China Association for Science and Technology to promote the collaborative innovation of industry, university and research, as well as the commercialization of sci-tech achievements.
They will also receive resources from Innovation China, help the association with grassroots organizations, and cooperate with the association to establish service platforms for cross-border clustering and the allocation of innovation resources.
The innovation bases are divided into three categories: cooperation of industry, university and research; incubation of innovation and start-up businesses; and international innovation cooperation.
The governance big data innovation base in Guiyang HIDZ is of the cooperation of industry, university and research type.
Moving forward, the Big Data National Engineering Research Center will focus on the major strategic needs of the construction and development of the national digital economy and digital government, encouraging academician teams and scientific research institutions to carry out research on common technologies and achieve the commercialization of research achievements.
Technology topics will include integrated government service big data application, smart health, and rural revitalization industrial internet.
Moreover, the center will build an innovation and entrepreneurship incubation platform, help small and medium-sized science and technology enterprises unleash their market potential, and promote the development of industrial digitization and digital industrialization.
