The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has made new progress in expanding opening-up.
Statistics show that from January to June this year, the total value of foreign trade value of Guiyang HIDZ achieved a growth rate of 35 percent.
The execution value of service outsourcing contracts was $161.85 million, which is 60.01 percent of the annual target, and the direct use of foreign capital reached $9.03 million, accounting for 50.16 percent of the annual target.
Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang HIDZ has formulated the "Work Plan on Promoting the High-quality Development of an Open Economy and Creating an Open Main Battlefield", which involves the promotion of opening-up industries, foreign trade, opening-up platforms, regional cooperation, and talent.
Guiyang HIDZ has so far guided three domestic trade enterprises to carry out foreign trade, involving $1.46 million in imports and exports.
It has also convinced two foreign trade enterprises to register there and cultivated one digital trade enterprise.
In addition, Guiyang HIDZ has strengthened investment cooperation with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Chengdu-Chongqing region.
From January to June, eight projects from the Greater Bay Area landed in Guiyang HIDZ, with a total investment of 6.56 billion yuan; four projects in the Yangtze River Delta settled there, with a total investment of 460 million yuan; and another five projects from the Chengdu-Chongqing region settled there, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan.
