Guizhou PIX Moving Technology Co, or PIX Moving – a company which manufactures driverless vehicles that bring products and services to customers in their homes or places of work – recently signed a strategic agreement with Guizhou Hydrogen Efficiency Energy Technology Co to develop mobile fuel cell power supply vehicles.
Plans are for the vehicles to be used at hospitals, at large-scale concerts and in emergency disaster scenarios.
PIX Moving is a resident enterprise of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone or Guiyang HIDZ – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
It is understood to have developed cutting-edge technologies for use in driverless chassis and have to date supplied around 200 customers in 17 countries.
PIX's technology has reportedly been used in intelligent tree-planting robots, unmanned logistics vehicles, unmanned inspection vehicles, as well as in driverless retail and agricultural vehicles.
Under the contract, the two companies will jointly develop hydrogen-driven vehicles that supply power. Compared with emergency power vehicles using diesel and lithium batteries, hydrogen-driven vehicles are more environmentally friendly and have a longer power supply capacity.
