Three subsidiaries of Guizhou Changtong Group, an enterprise based in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, won bids worth a total of more than 200 million yuan ($30 million) on Feb 8.
Information from the group shows that its subsidiaries Guizhou Changtong Manufacturing Co and Guizhou Xinshuguang Cable Co jointly won the bid for the distribution network material project of the China Southern Power Grid.
Another subsidiary, Guizhou Changtong Electric Co, won the bid for the reconstruction project of Shire Valley in Malawi, Africa.
Winning the bids was a major success for the group at the start of the Chinese Year of the Tiger and a strong recognition of its products, according to the group's chairman Zhang Zhao.
Guizhou Changtong Group's power equipment manufacturing output reportedly reached 1.6 billion yuan in 2021.
In the new year, in order to consolidate the group's advantages in the power industry, Guizhou Changtong Group will also transform and upgrade to green and intelligent manufacturing, and accelerate the layout of the new energy industry.
