The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, organized a voluntary tree planting activity on Feb 7, based on the principle that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets".
Voluntary tree planting on the first working day after the Spring Festival holiday has been a tradition in Guizhou province since 2015.

This year's activity was attended by around 50 officials from the Guiyang HIDZ.
About 100 osmanthus and cherry trees were planted along Guiyang HIDZ's Maisha Avenue that day, covering a total area of 1.5 mu (0.1 hectares).
