Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has made great achievements in expanding international cooperation in 2021.
Supporting enterprises go international
Participating in the construction of the Belt and Road, Guiyang HIDZ encourages local enterprises to set up overseas branches.
Since the start of this year, enterprises in the zone have set up four new enterprises and invested in 15 projects overseas in 15 countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
For example, the Guiyang HIDZ-headquartered Guizhou Transportation Planning Survey and Design Academe Co set up overseas offices in Laos and Congo.
Guiding enterprises to expand to international markets
Local enterprises, such as Guizhou Aviation Technical Development Co, Vontron Tech Co, and Pix Moving, have expanded international market shares for products such as osmosis membranes, aero engine ring forgings, and unmanned robots in Europe and Asia.
The export volume of phosphorus chemical products produced by Guizhou Zerophos Chemical Co exceeded $10 million in 2021 thanks to its marketing efforts in Southeast Asian countries.
Participating in international exhibitions and conventions
This year, during the Guiyang-Guian economic and trade exchange activities under the background of the 18th China-ASEAN Expo, Guiyang HIDZ and Hong Kong Gongxiang Technology Co signed an investment agreement with a contract value of 650 million yuan.
The zone's Guizhou Zerophos Chemical Co and Vietnam Masan Group signed a trade cooperation agreement with a contract value of 220 million yuan.
Expanding foreign exchange channels
Since the start of 2021, Guiyang HIDZ continued to promote channels for international cooperation through platforms such as China International Import Expo and China International Big Data Industry Expo, witnessing the registration of seven foreign-funded enterprises.
