Eight enterprises from the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were recently listed among the 2021 Guizhou Top 100 Enterprises.
The list was jointly announced by Guizhou Provincial Enterprise Confederation and Guizhou Entrepreneurs Association on Nov 1.
It is reported that the top 100 enterprises in Guizhou account for a large proportion of the province's total economic output.
In 2020, the top 100 enterprises achieved a total operating income of 909.41 billion yuan ($136.45 billion), accounting for 51 percent of Guizhou's GDP.
The same year, the enterprises paid a total of 75.52 billion yuan in taxes, accounting for 69 percent of the province's tax revenues in 2020.
The eight enterprises from Guiyang HIDZ are Power China Guiyang Engineering Corporation Limited, Guizhou Yuneng Investment Co, AECC Guizhou Liyang Aero Engine Co, and Guizhou Transportation Planning Survey and Design Academe Co, Guizhou Shenqi Pharmaceutical Co, Taihao Industrial City Group Co, Guizhou Hangtian Fenghua Precision Equipment Co, and Yiguang Construction Group.
In addition to the news of the enterprises making them onto the list, another eight enterprises from Guiyang HIDZ made the 2021 Guizhou Top 100 Private Enterprises list, with five listed among the 2021 Guizhou Top 100 Manufacturing Enterprises, and six listed among the 2021 Guizhou top 50 enterprises in the service industry.
