The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – on Sept 13 signed an agreement to construct a facility involving an investment of 720 million yuan ($112 million).
Under the agreement, the Guiyang HIDZ has authorized Shenzhen-based Kaiyike Logistics Co to build a fast-moving consumer goods warehousing and smart logistics facility in the zone.
Its main operation will involve warehousing and logistics, cold chain transportation and the rapid distribution of products.
When the facility is ramped up to full capacity, it is expected to generate an operating income of 1 billion yuan annually.
Kaiyike Logistics Co, established in 2000, is a third-party logistics service provider focusing on integrated logistics and supply chain management for the manufacturing industry. It is also a national 4A-level logistics enterprise.
After a long period of development, the company is understood to have formed an innovative business model and become a leading integrated logistics solution provider in China.
The signing of the logistics base project between Guiyang HIDZ and Kaiyike Logistics Co was reportedly another achievement made at a business match-making meeting, recently held between Guizhou province and South China's Guangdong province.
