The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – on Sept 3 launched new services to register new businesses, in an initiative expected to make the zone even more appealing to companies considering moving there.
Previously, the Guiyang HIDZ did not have the capability to handle administrative services involving social insurance and medical insurance, as well as opening provident fund accounts.
In the past, enterprises wanting to register in the Guiyang HIDZ, had to have their employees' social security and medical insurance handled in the Baiyun district, while provident funds had to be handled in the Guiyang Municipal Provident Fund Center.
This was because the zone did not have the functional departments, according to Xu Jiaojiao, a staff member at its administrative approval bureau.
It is understood that the introduction of the new services will not add to the time it takes for applications to go through.
Information involving enterprises will automatically be sent to the business systems for social insurance, medical insurance and provident fund accounts after the business registration is completed.
The whole administrative process can be completed within one working day, Xu added.
Resident company Guizhou Yihualu Data Asset Research Institute Co was the first enterprise to enjoy the newly launched services in the Guiyang HIDZ.
Their introduction has reportedly brought a higher degree of efficiency to the administrative procedure, according to a senior official there.
