The Baiyun district and the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ – both situated in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently joined forces to open a fast-track channel for COVID-19 vaccinations.
Baiyun is lending a helping hand to the Guiyang HIDZ, which has given complete vaccination courses to 37,936 of its residents, leaving another 18,660 people to complete their jabs.
On Aug 18, the new fast-track vaccination channel reportedly gave around 200 employees from 40 Guiyang HIDZ resident enterprises shots within 2 hours, at the health service center in Shawen town in Baiyun district.
"There are many production tasks at my busy company. Employees wanted to get vaccinated but didn't want the long queue time," according to Yu Chuan, chairman of the Guizhou PIX Moving Intelligent Technology Co.
His company's 20 employees were vaccinated in less than 10 minutes at the Baiyun health service center, which displayed remarkable vaccination efficiency.
