The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ, in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is on the path to high-quality economic development.
It is currently building a modern industrial system led by big data, high-tech industries, and emerging industries, supported by advanced manufacturing and with the service economy as its mainstay.
The Guiyang HIDZ is a leader in the creation of a full chain for entrepreneurial incubation and industrial cultivation in Guizhou, providing full-process innovation and entrepreneurship services for university graduates, returning overseas talent, scientific and technological talent, and corporate executives.
It ranked 14th among 65 regional innovation demonstration bases in the country in 2020, and its Guiyang Hi-tech Entrepreneurship Service Center has been named a National Excellent Technology Business Incubator for seven consecutive years.
Meanwhile, the Guiyang HIDZ has successively formulated more than 20 policy documents, such as the "Implementation Plan for the Construction of Talent Special Zones in the Guiyang National High-tech Zone" and "The Implementation Plan for Building a Science and Technology Talent Town on Shubo Avenue."
It has focused on building five small talent towns with a total construction area of 2,289.8 mu (152.65 hectares). After completion, the talent housing that can be used by the jurisdiction will increase to about 140,000 square meters.
In addition, a number of high-growth enterprises have emerged in the Guiyang HIDZ through the implementation of a series of scientific and technological planning projects and big data industry technology projects.
The scale of the software and information service industry in the Guiyang HIDZ currently accounts for one-third of the industry in Guiyang.
