Applications to be officially recognized as high-tech enterprises in the current year recently closed in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ -- located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
It is understood that this year the number of applications reached a record 268.
In recent years, Guiyang HIDZ has reportedly attached greater importance to encouraging local enterprises to apply for the high-tech enterprise status.
It has established and improved a library and database of high-tech enterprises, implemented improved management and follow-up services for them and boosted policy publicity and applications training.
The zone has prioritized attracting enterprises operating in the fields of big data, high-end equipment manufacturing and healthcare to move their operations there.
To date, the Guiyang HIDZ has held four high-tech enterprise applications training sessions and trained more than 240 people from over 180 enterprises.
For resident companies that intended to apply in 2021, the Guiyang HIDZ provided special briefings on the regulations.
The move aimed to assist enterprises to meet the conditions, familiarize themselves with the applications process and improve their success rate.
