An innovation and entrepreneurship roadshow was held on June 3 at the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ -- located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- with the participation of eight companies.
The event, the first one in a series of roadshows, featured big data electronics information. It was hosted by the Guiyang Bureau of Science and Technology and the Guian New Area economic development bureau.
After the marketing event's launch in May -- and following pre-project applications, preliminary screening and on-site communication -- eight companies were selected to go on the first roadshow.
Their presentations involved their entrepreneurial teams, showcasing their core technologies, market prospects, business models, expected benefits and projected results.
Five of them were selected to contribute to the roadshow project library -- receiving bonuses, certificate awards, project guidance, advice on investment and financing incubations, as well as industry-university-research services.
The series of roadshows will have eight themes. The roadshows will include projects that assist smart agriculture, health medicines and smart health care, modern chemicals engineering and new materials.
Other projects will involve the food industry, the industrial big data and internet, blockchain and artificial intelligence, as well as projects from university students in Guiyang and the Guian New Area.
