Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is striving to develop its high-tech and emerging industries to push high-quality industrial breakthroughs, according to local media reports.
According to the zone's development plans, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), it will accelerate the development of big data electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing and new energy automobile industries, and cultivate advanced manufacturing clusters.
Guiyang HIDZ will promote the deep integration of big data and the real economy, and introduce and cultivate several big data enterprises above a designated size – those with annual sales of 20 million yuan ($3.11 million) or more.
It will also strengthen opening-up and investment introduction, encourage the transformation of investment promotion results and enhance the business environment. The goal is to promote high-quality development.
At present, the output value of the big data electronic information sector in the zone accounts for 42.8 percent of its industrial sector.
It is expected that by 2025, the total output value of the big data electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing and new energy automobile industries in the zone will account for 90 percent of its industrial sector, and the number of industrial enterprises above a designated size will hit 120.
