Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, added 521 market entities in the first quarter of this year, according to information from the zone's bureau of administrative examination and approval.
The registered capital of these market entities is 4.7 billion yuan ($724.74 million), an increase of 8.32 percent over the same period last year, showing steady growth momentum.
According to provincial, municipal and zone requirements, the bureau of administrative examination and approval of Guiyang HIDZ has made efforts to improve its business environment. It has helped to tackle the difficulties experienced by companies, streamline the handling procedures for business affairs and lower the threshold of market access.
In 2020, Guiyang HIDZ ranked 42nd among 169 national high-tech zones in terms of overall performance, up eight places compared with the previous year. It also ranked first among the districts (cities, counties, development zones) in Guiyang in the evaluation of investment objectives completion in 2020, according to previous reports.
