Hosted by the entrepreneurship service center at Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) -- located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- the finals of Guiyang HIDZ innovation and entrepreneurship contest were held on Nov 16 to 17.
After fierce competition, a first prize, two second prizes and three third prizes were awarded.
The competition's aim was to recognize exciting business plans, the best entrepreneurial teams, excellent innovation and entrepreneurship projects and start-up enterprises.
After processing applicants for a month, 108 entrepreneurial projects were chosen to participate in the competition and 25 made it to the finals.
The prize winners were awarded cash bonuses, while the top 15 teams that were identified took part in a project roadshow on Nov 19.
This gave them the opportunity to present their projects to secure seed funding and other types of funding, as well as backing for project transformations and incubations provided by one of the major competition sponsors, ZJB.com.
