Guiyang No 6 High School and the Guizhou Big Data Exhibition Center -- in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- signed an agreement recently to set up a science and technology education facility on the school's campus, according to Guiyang HIDZ officials.
They said the new facility aims to enable students to fully understand the profound changes brought about by Guizhou's science and technology culture and big data.
The big data exhibition center will work closely with the high school in science and technology education and teaching, volunteer services, hands-on inquiry based learning and visits, among other things.
Officials said the two sides will meet each semester to identify science course themes, curriculum objectives, learning methods and evaluation methods at the facility. They said this will help achieve the full use of its resources.
Moving forwards, officials said the big data center will continue to fully support the new science and technology facility and look to develop other areas of joint endeavor, to help popularize science in education.
