Nine top talents signed intention employment contracts on July 4 at a special event to hire people who have returned from abroad -- held in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ), capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- Guiyang HIDZ officials said.
Sponsored by the Guiyang High-tech Business Incubator in the zone, the recruitment event focused on the development needs of resident companies in the Guiyang HIDZ, officials said.
The aim was to inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the zone by recruiting high-caliber people who have come back to China.
Over 30 overseas returnees and representatives of seven companies attended the meeting.
The Guiyang Overseas Scholars Pioneer Park in the zone signed intention employment contracts with nine returnees at the event.
According to officials, to date the zone has recruited 65,000 people, including 815 talents with doctorates -- and has hired a total of 447 returned overseas talents.
